In 2017, I embarked on my first writing internship at an alt-weekly magazine called “The Pulse” based out of Chattanooga, TN.
As an official “editorial assistant” to the editor-in-chief Gary Poole, I spent an entire semester in this position writing 2-3 advertorial articles a week, organizing a bi-weekly local music & arts events calendar, and most importantly publishing my first AP-style feature writing pieces.
